Coving Commercial Grade Vinyl
"That Floor Guy", you've won me with the look of some of your vinyl floors. Being as I sand and polish wood floors for a living, I've decided to opt for carpet and vinyl floor coverings in my soon to be built new house, What I want to know is can you or anybody else recommend a commercial grade vinyl suitable for a shower recess that can be coved up the walls, similar to what I've seen in hospitals. The house will be on stumps and bearers with plywood covering (I might sand and colour lime a small room or two, if the mood takes me, though I doubt it). Do the joists need to be arranged to allow for the fall to the drain or should the floor be built up later above the ply? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.
ps. after comparing the durability and problem free reliability of vinyl over timber (movement, shrinkage, scratching and comparatively short surface life span) why would anybody choose timber flooring!!!!! IT SUCKS.
