Hello to all
Hello to all,
this is Gio from Italy. Surfing on the web I found this great forum regarding woodworking. Indeed it's amazing to see so many people involved with woodworking and so many awesome woodworks, I really hope to learn from all of you.
I have very limited experience with wood, but I really like wood and work with it. I like the idea to make some small piece of furniture and small boxes that always fascinated me.
Thanks in advance for your patience with my posts, questions and well ... for my english
Cheers, Gio.

Welcome Gio! Your English is far better than some Aussies on the forum!
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

Welcome Gio. Don't worry about your English. When I came to Australia from England I had a few troubles with the language too but you soon get used to it. We even have Americans contributing, so we should be able to understand you. What you have written is to me is a very good English. Far better than my pathetic attempts at Italian.

Hey Gio...I grew up in South Philly which is italian through and through. It's there that I developed taste for hoagies, cheessteaks, and pizza. Some of the coolest girls in high school were italian...of course now that their in their 50's and 60's...they ain't as thin or cute as they used to be.
Welcome to our woodworking society.Cheers,

Caio... Boun
Welcome to the Best Forum in Australia...
Wow... we do have a following don't we...
Now... just wanted to explain there are some seriously talented folk on here & some not so seriously talented ones(like me)... but the forum members are the most genuinely helpful & caring a you'd ever have the pleasure to meet... even if only on the internet.
Don't worry about your English... us Aussie's are still trying to grasp the language ... have been trying to since we landed here some 200 years ago... if you ever need help it will only be when Wild Dingo starts to post when he comes back from his sabbatical in USA...(holidaying/lucky bugger) ...
Learning your way around the forum will help lots... using search to locate posts from different members is a great tool ...
Australians are not just into Football(AFL)...BBQ's & fishing... we've perfected the "SHED" into the sanctuary of the "woodies domain.." please note the term "woodies"... this now covers MEN & WOMEN... yes we females are just as happy to share this forum...
Welcome... enjoy .... we all do...
Have a great day... KEKEMO.. "ShedLady"Don't think you're playing it safe by walking in the middle of the road.....that's the surest way to get hit by traffic coming from both ways!
I'm passionate about woodwork.......making Sawdust again & loving it!

Wow ... thanks to everyone for the nice words.
I have just joined this forum and I have the feeling to be among friends.
I took some time to browse the forum and watch at the projects posted here and I have to say that is a great source of ideas and amazing works.
Indeed so many talented guys are here.
It seems that I also have the opportunity to improve my english and learn new terms (eg: woodies. Tks for this Kekemo!).
A great day to all of you.
Cheers from Italy, Gio.
