Alrighty. I've started. The tiles are off. I've already found some interesting things to do with the floor (Posted in the relevant section). Now, for the wall.

Exhibit A:

I'm stumped. What do I slap on the wall to cover up the brick and the plumbing, in readiness for the impending tiles?

Exhibit B:

The side of the bath. Should I chip it all back to the brick which appears to be supporting the bath, and use some villaboard?

Dopey question - does the to-be tiled area need to be perfectly flat? There's plenty of large pits (~5cm diameter, ~1-2mm depth) from chipping away the old tiles. I've got a bottle of polyfilla, but looking at it, it'll be nowhere near enought to flatten out all of the area, just fill in the couple of really deep pits.

Cheers
