speed bag swivel loose

hi guys.

so i went and got a speed bag swivel a few months ago.

anyway part of it screws off,

now only after a day of hitting the speed bag, the bottom half of it fell out of the upper casing (it screws in), the thread is very loose (to the point i can just push it in, instead of having to screw it in).

now the shop i bought it from won't help me, the ACCC won't help me as i don't have a receipt (it was $25 anyway), the company is based in the USA and won't help me as i'm out of area.

is there some sort of industrial strength super glue of some sort i can get from bunnings so i just put some in, screw it in and it'll stay for quite some time?

Are we talking about the grub screw which has the allen key in it? I don't know if loctite is the answer. If its thread is stripped, and if you are handy enough or know someone you can tap it the next size up and fit a larger grub screw. If its the main thread that screws into the mounting flange then thats a worry! Try thread tape or loctite but it sounds like its faulty and you have grounds for it to be replaced.

I'd do it for nix, but distance is a problem.

thats awfully nice of you, but i couldn't, it'll be too much of a burden.

i'm not to technial with these sort of words, so i had a look on google images.
i think it's the main thread into the mounting flange.

those little black specs are from the duct tape i was using,
but i didn't know there was a more technical tape for use.

i'll have a look for loctite, and some thread tape.

If no joy with loctite etc, the quick way out is to take down the mount and have the two welded together!

Well, is there any need to unscrew to lower unit later?
