Hi from Rockingham via UK
Hi All, great forum you got here!
I am a fairly recent arrival from Pommie-land, we emigrated to Rockingham last year.
I have been in and out of working with wood since leaving school in late 70's- as a coachbuilder, joiner, carpenter and cabinetmaker.
Although until recently I had been out of the industry for approx 12 years (except for DIY!). My wife and I have fairly recently bought an existing business in Perth WA that makes headboards and upholstered beds. We have an upholsterer and I do the cabinetmaking/joinery. It all being fairly simple (at the moment, I have plans to expand and upgrade our product range).
There are quite a few gaps in my knowledge which I may be asking advice on, if I may. Also I am in need of help on good suppliers for tools/equipment and also general supplies- getting bulk and cheap fasteners/screws being my biggest bugbear at the moment!
Cheers

Hey, thanks for the welcome!
I have now found a reliable bulk fastener supplier
Really enjoying reading around the threads, relative lack of b/sh*t too

I will never be the person who has everything, not when someone keeps inventing so much cool new stuff to buy.
From an early age my father taught me to wear welding gloves . "Its not to protect your hands son, its to put out the fire when u set yourself alight".
