Forum images constantly timing out

I've tried multiple browsers, I've tried multiple ISPs, I've tried multiple times of day, and I still get constant timeouts of images loading on the site. I'm talking mainly about the little icons and buttons, not about pictures submitted in threads.

I don't so much care that it ruins the layout, but when the new post button is an image it is a real nuisance.

Any ideas?

Are you connected via dsl, broadband (cable or satellite) or dial-up? If dsl what speed,? If broadband, what speed? If dial-up, it's probably time to upgrade.

Ron can you give me a couple of links to the pages that time out.

It happens sporadically on any page with icons. For example, the "greenies" won't show, the blue dot, scales and alert icons won't show, and I'll see big broad columns with the ALT text if the icon for "you've posted in this thread" should appear.

For example, the time which prompted this post was when I was trying to create a post in the "Nothing to do with..." forum. I clicked on that forum name, the page appeared, but the icons I've mentioned wouldn't load.

This time it didn't happen.

I have a broadband connection. I've just changed from AAPT to Internode and there is no difference in the problem. I also see it from my connection at work, which is one of the largest private networks in the world.

It just happened again ... here's a screen shot of what occurs after it times out.

Even though this screen shot is IE, it also happens with Opera, Safari and FireFox.
