Cricket Trophy
The boys up the Tolmie Tavern asked me to knock up a trophy for their cricket competition.
The base is radiata with tassie myrtle inlaid with some huon and the five things representing four fingers and a thumb catching the call are made from a bit of willow to keep the cricket theme going. The "fingers" are mortice and tenoned into the base.
All the timber was scrap lying around.
I finished it with UBeaut shellac, UBeaut EEE wax and UBeaut Traditional wax.
The ball is supported by a piece of silver solder rod.- Wood Borer

Well done - that idea of the fingers embracing the ball appeals to me and I thinks its been well executed.
Congrats
