Do I need to seal old plaster?
I am completely confused now.........My theory was to patch, wash and then seal an old plaster wall before skimcoating it..............but according to the guys from wattyl
" there is no product to seal it with... I should sand it and then skim coat it" ..........
It is old plaster board wall painted with an unknown substance that is peeling and flaking.......full of dints and gouges....and old wall paper glue that will not come off unless I sand down to the fibre............
I thought my best guess was to seal it with an oil based binder and then my plaster topcoat.........
any advice?
cheers
Jan
