Default A gracious good day to one and all.

Just joined up to try to learn something (Anything!) about wood.
You might think that at my age I should know a little about wood but I'm just a poor, not to bright, bankrupt immigrant.
I spent 27 years in the UK and 44 years in Canada and, this year, I am to be your friendly neighbour when I start my third adventure-in-life.
I am fascinated with the Australian trees and hope to learn more about them by butchering some tree products with my 120 Volt tools.
As an electrician, I don't think that I will ever become Australia's finest carpenter but I did once own a wooden handled screwdriver.
I sincerely hope that some of you will share some of your hard earned knowledge with me and that I can be a credit to this forum.
    Thanks for your time,
    Bill

With 120 Volt tools, you will most likely butcher your tools without harming the trees. But welcome!
    Cheers,

Ask away mate and what we can help with we will ( and I say this with confidence ) for as long as I have been assosiated with this forum honest questions have been answered promptly and accurately , though fair warning this has a lot of Aussie members ( and HB ) and sometimes the replys carry a slant that is typical to the Aussie sence of humor

...........and that's another reason why I joined up. I can take the Aussie humour, I have been enjoying it since my first visit in 1958.
