Rust stains in decking
I had to use an angle grinder near my yet to coated Spotted gum decking. I covered up the decking with Tarps and was very conscious of when sparks were flying. Lifter up the tarps carefully and brushed the decking outwards along the grain with a stiff brush, just in case.
Anyway.... after a bit of rain there are a few couple of areas which have a sprinkling of black rust stains. It just looks dirty. I could kick, myself.
-Is there anything I can use before coating the deck to remove the rust?
-Will sanding help.
-Could it continue to get worse? Even after coating?
Replies greatly appreciated, I'll be the guy sitting in the corner with the Dunce Cap on...
