Hi Guys,

I'm looking at designing up our new place... And want to go with 3m external walls as we want to attach a 6ft verandah and have a split roof line...

My issues is then with the internal ceiling... 3m cielings are damn big, and probably too big, so I'm trying to figure out how we would get ceilings at 2.7m...

Is there a "drop" truss design? Or will it be just a 300mm frame underhung on the roof trusses (similar to a bulkhead all the way through the house)?

Has anybody done this? I know a lot of colonial homes are like this, but not sure how they do it?
