Clear Finish over Paint
I have painted some old paper finish woodgrain random groove ply sheeting (about 1/8" thick) using the following products
Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 Primer Sealer (one coat)
Dulux Wash & Wear 101 Super Acrylic Low Sheen (two coats)
The Dulux paint has been colour matched to match Wilsonart Panelart Double sided MDF, colour - D14 Port with a Matt finish.
The paint finish does not appear to be tough enough to withstand the traffic area. It is in a rumpus room and bar area.
What I was thinking was that I may be able to put a hard clear finish over the paint work to make it more durable.
Something in low sheen or satin finish.
Preference to water base rather than oil base but not essential.
I was considering Cabot's Crystal Clear but it did not get a good report on another thread.
So what do you think?
Is it feasible?
What other product would you recommend<
Thanks,
Mal

Bob,
Thanks for your reply.
Are you referring to the CFP Water Based in the flooring section at the Cabot's site?
