I want to cut a doorway in a masonry wall. I am yet to pop my head into the ceiling to see if the wall is load bearing (I suspect it may be load bearing due to the heavy tiled roof but the building is old and I think the roof is not trussed). If the wall is load bearing I am happy to pay for a structural engineer to specify the lentil.
