Council Asset Protection Permit
Early this year I finally got my building permit finalised (using a private building surveyor), and I started work immediately, the first stage being excavation and soil removal. About 3 weeks later a standard letter from the council arrived (obviously linked to the issuing of the building permit) requesting a $300 asset protection bond for the cross-over.
