    Default finishing with polish

    can anyone help with types of polishes to finish turned items.Method used,drying time in between coats,amont of coats,etc? Thinking of ubeut or cabots?
    there has to be a better way to start the day...other than waking up

    You cant go past Ubeauts Shellawax.
    Drying time,.........less than nil.

    Might be a bit of a cliche around here, but like Allan says you really can't go past Shellawax cream for most things. It doesn't much like being wet, but it's not an issue with the majority of items. Start with EEE, finish with Shellawax - one application of each - and you're done in a couple of minutes start to usable.

    Slightly more traditional is shellac (one coat on the lathe), then a coat of wax burnished into the surface (rubbed with a folded rag to heat while the lathe is running). Neil has the requisites there too. Shellawax combines both steps basically.

    Click the U-Beaut Enterprises link at the bottom of the page. Never met anyone who didn't love the stuff once they tried it. It's not perfect for everything, but the closest I've found.
