After reading absolutely everything about which finish to use, how to apply ect...
I coated my new merbau deck with Feast watson decking oil, Natural.
2 good coats with an applicator pad..

I weathered the deck for about a month, in which time we had plenty of Sydney rain.
I then washed the deck as per instructions, with feast watson deck clean.

Now, half the area is under cover, half exposed.
It has been about 6 weeks roughly since I oiled the deck, and the area exposed to the elements is totally washed out.
After yesterdays rain, it looks like its just been washed again with deck wash.
The covered area is ok, but I would have expected it too last better also.

Now I' will just wash down again with the hose (sshhh) and re-coat when dry.
I'm going to go nuts and slap on another 2 or 3 coats...pain in the A!

Should this not last longer though?

If it washes out again, maybe i will use spa & deck..
