Plastering over old tile glue?
Hello, I am remodeling an older house. Two of my rooms were covered in 4x4 plastic tiles. They were attached with some sort of hard, inflexible troweled-on glue. I sanded this glue to remove any loose chunks/pieces, but there is still a lot on the walls. Is it possible to use a skim-coat of some sort over this material, or do I need to strip the glue off in order to get a better bond? What type of coating would you recommend? Any help is appreciated!
