I have a question about finishing wood.
I have old window frames that need sanding, and new putty put in windows edge.
On the inside I have some condensation issues. Now do I use oil on the inside and outside, or is it better off painting the outside again and oiling the inside.
I don't like laquer, it does'nt penetrate.

Before anything else Pog, I would try and address the issues that are causing the condensation and the deterioration on the outside.

I take it the windows are not currently painted on the inside?
If they are old casement windows I would use oil inside and oil based paint outside. find out what is causing the moisture/condensation problem, that's not just a woodwork problem, it's also a health problem.
