stump and joist spacings
Hi.
I intend to build a deck at the rear of my property
I am using 100x100 red gum stumps
100x75 OB bearers
140x40 floor joists
The size of the deck will be 3.5 mtrs x 6mtrs
the 3.5 will be FROM the house out, and the 6m will follow the wall to the end of the house.
My questions what size ledger should I use to dynabolt to the wall, how many stumps will i need and what will the spacings
be between the stumps also what spacings for the floor joists
Thank You

Go to your local libary and get a copy of the Victorian building regulations it has a few of the Australian Standards tables in it.
Its not much good giving timber sizes with out saying what sort of timber it is and what grading it has been given.
