The kitchen is getting there but I have to finish a tall cupboard which I made from Tas Oak veneered MDF.
Neils bible says I can use shellac then apply a varnish finish but I cannot seem to find any reference to a stain/varnish over shellac.
Can I do this or is it a case that the stain will not take.
The finish is Cabots stain varnish.
On another note, I also see that Neil states that Horse poo and human urine can be used to make a stain.
In the interest of good will, I have four paddocks full of the former and anyone who wishes to make their own stain is welcome to help themselves, the latter they will have to provide themselves
