Smelly table
A friend has asked me what timber I thought his contemporary table was made of. When it is locked in a room for a couple of days it develops a very strong smell which is similiar to turps. I thought the timber may be turpentine or perhaps has had lots of polish or other gunk put on it. Any one care to offer an opinion as to what it may be. The finish is not soluble with Metholated Spirit.
