Parramatta

Just wondered if anyone is from parramatta, an old gent i new passed away last year and he lived there before coming back to england.He was a great story teller and a good yarn spinner. He reckoned he owned a tow truck co. but i never knew when to believe him or not.He was supposedly called "The Pom" but his real name was Derek Welsh.I wonder if anyone new him.

My mum grew up in Marsden St. Parramatta, and 4 generations of our family have been married in St. Johns Parramatta.
I worked in Parra for the first 8 years of my fulltime employments, but fortunately have never had anything to do with tow trucks, nor have I heard of "The Pom", nor Mr Welsh.

grew up a few kms from Parra
went to Parramatta High.
remember lots of tow trucks but no drivers' names
must have driven through the centre of Parramatta over a thousand times in the two years I worked at Windsor
