darksiders WW BBQ SE Subs
After the wonderful day we had out at Dave's (K-Man Oz)
A few of us thought it might be good to get together in Autumn for sharing of Darkside skills.
My extremely humble work shop is available, Thumbsucker will bebuilding Planes and we thought some demos on using profile planes, jack planes Etc may be of interest. plus any other skills you can bring(I dont have any)
I have a small workshop and a semi enclosed verandah and a very darkside BBQ.
But i do have one long bench with vise as well as a double sided school bench with 2 vice. and one other work table.
This will have to be almost 100% darkside as apart from the usual small power tools (Drill, Dremmle, router (NO BENCH) jig saw) I have no big toys.
Date to be fixed, mid Aprilish
everyone welcome
Astrid

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner Astrid.
I suggested to Astrid that we could have a plane making workshop as their has been some interest expressed by a few people on how to make wooden planes. It would have to be a traditional hand mortised plane as astrid has no big toys to make laminated style planes with.
It has also been suggested that a small group project could be undertaken like a small stool, or a box, were we can all chip in using the darkside to make a single piece and hopefully learn something at the same time.
Hopefully the plane blades will be ready by the time of the BBQ so people can do a pickup and make a matching plane all in one day.

As usual, Helmut is leading the darksider chargeDon't get too ambitious mate, you remember how much we got done at my place during the BBQ don't you? Shall I pick you up?

To avoid a clash of dates how about putting up a poll for your two options Mel?
Groggy or DJ should be able to help or do it for you.Cheers, Ern
