Default Wouldn't we all like to do this

This is an article from the local paper - it is sad for the person concerned - but wouldnt we all like to have the courage to do it ourselves.

A man who waved and smiled as he allegedly sped past a police car on the Western Fwy was yesterday remanded in custody for a psychiatric assessment.

He is charged with two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of refusing a preliminary breath test and one count of assault, appeared in the Magistrates Court for a bail hearing yesterday.
The court heard he was clocked speeding on the Western Fwy between Gordon and Wallace at 135kmh after he overtook a marked police car about 9pm on Monday.
Senior Constable told the court the man had waved at him, "as if he knew me and was trying to attract attention".
he was pulled over by police and taken to the Police Station where he refused to take a breath test.
About 11pm he was again stopped by police after he drove past the local Police station, beeping his horn.
The court heard the man was intoxicated and told police that he worked for ASIO and they had "blown his cover".
He also grabbed the inner thigh of a police woman and acted like "the whole situation was a bit of a joke," the court heard.
His defence lawyer said he was employed as a storeman in Sunshine and lived with his mother in St Albans.
She asked that he be bailed on the condition that he not drive and hand over his car keys to a responsible adult.
But the Magistrate said the man's behaviour had "all the hallmarks of an untreated psychiatric condition" and he would not release him until an assessment was completed.
"This is the height of irrational behaviour that is not consistent with a sound-thinking person, and that person will do it again," he said. The court heard that he had prior convictions for drink driving and driving while disqualified.
    regards
