George W. (apologies to our US members)
One night, George Bush was wakened by George Washington's ghost in the White House. George W saw him and asked, "George, what is the best thing I can do for the country?"
"Set an honest and honourable example, just as I did." advised the ghost.
The next night, the ghost of Thomas Jefferson moved through the darkened bedroom. "Tom, what is the best thing I can do to help the country?" asked George W.
"Cut taxes and reduce the size of the government," advised Tom.
The next night George W saw another figure moving in the shadows. It was Abe Loncoln's ghost. "Abe, what is the best thing I can do to help the country?" asked George W.
"Go to the theatre."

No offence taken. But, yes and no. How does "President Cheney" sound?

Joe, when I first heard this joke, the main character was Bill Clinton so it probably goes back in history as these (all?) jokes seem to do.
Dick Cheney? Wasn't he the one with the shot gun who shot a lawyer? He sounds like an OK sort of guy.
