Specs for Footings / Reo Bars
Sorry im a first timer. With council approval I'm attaching two rooms to the rear of my existing house. the rooms will be brick veneer external and gyprock internal with a colourbond roof. The existing house is on a concrete slab. The adition will be the same height of the existing house slab. My question is for the constuction of the new rooms;
1. What size footings must i use (width x depth)
2. What diameter mesh size is needed for the footings.
3. What size reo bars are need for joining the new slab to the house slab
4. How far apart do i drill the new reo bars for Q3.
I have checked the AS2870 but cannot workout the specs and council has approved this addition without requesting any specs. I live in the western suburbs of Sydney (HELP)Last edited by namso38; 12th November 2007 at 09:28 PM. Reason: Change the information requested

I'm surprised the council hasn't requested an engineers detail and spec for your slab. If you had that it would give you all things you need to know.
