    Default Lawn mowers

Anyone got any suggestions on where is the cheapest place to buy lawn mowers? Bunnings? I just want to get a cheap petrol mower, probably the GMC (only small yard). Bunnings have them for $269. Any other ideas?. I live near Geelong.

It might be worth seeing if a lawn mower shop have and good second hand ones.

I bought one second-hand through the local rag for $80.

It's a four-stroke Masport, starts first time every time.

It was a close to the top of the range jobbie, about eight years ago, has plenty of guts, and is still pretty quiet.

    I reckon you can't loose.

A maintenance guy I spoke to a while ago was saying that Bunnings sell the cheaper made Victa's and Masports, with the lower grade motors and parts- how true this is I'm not sure.

Honda Buffalo is one of the best for the push mowers, it will last years but will also cost more to buy

Honda HRU196 or the mulch and catch version (HRU196D) are the main mowers used by mowing franchises, bit expensive but they don't struggle through anything with a few modifications.

We have 2, both with snorkel systems and modifications to get maximum revs out of them, the wheels need to be replaced but they have been used every week day for the last few years. The mowers will eventually be replaced by a 216D i believe, self propelled

For home use, Victa and Masport will be fine.
