Air dried vs Kiln dried
Hey again. Just wondering if it's worth paying the extra for kiln dried Merbau or would i get away with air dried?
What are the differences?
Do i have to lay it differently or oil it differently?

Air dried merbau?? I heard it was all kiln dried for import regulations. What is the price difference? If the timber was thoroughly dry there shouldnt be a very great difference in working it, but I dare say it would be hard to tell if it was sufficently dry to prevent further shrinkage.

Hi Al,
Kiln Dried is always better, it will cost you a little more on average but it is worth it. We carry kiln dried for that reason, it is clean from end to end, it is always stored indoors so there is no staining. So you will have less movement and a better looking deck.
Cheers
Craig
