    Default Insinkerator air switch failed

    Hi All,

I have an insinkerator with an inoperable air switch. My guess is the bellows under the push button has failed. To test the theory I unplugged the connecting tube and blew down the hose and bingo it switches on and off.

A replacement Insinkerator air switch is $$$$ and I cannot seem to find anybody who knows anything about spare parts for Insinkerator thingies to find out if I can just get a replacement bellows. I located a supposed Insinkerator service outfit in Brisbane but they haven't answered email and their phone system voice mailbox isn't working for me.

Does anybody on the forum know how to fix these things or alternately where to get a cheaper replacement switch?

    Thanks,
    Fuzzie

Most spa baths have air switches try the yellow pages and ring around your local spa suppliers

Here's the website, they should be able to help you out, The emerson brands are pretty good when it comes to product support from experience.

    Hi Guys,

    Timmo,
Thanks for the insinkerator link. Insinkerator were very responsive and emailed me the part number and the name of the so far unresponsive Brisbane service agent (Kev Sellwood).

    Ashore,
Great idea about the spa switches. If I have no luck with the agent I'll give them a try.

    Thanks,
    Fuzzie
