    Default Blue Board to clean brickwork

    Hi All,
    Can somebody please explain to me the correct procedure for attaching blue board to un painted clean brick work.

    Good Question - I've never seen that done - none of the fixing manuals for blueboard mention fixing to brickwork directly. I'll look around for some data.

    James hardie the makers of the original blueboard dont say anything about it except it must be fixed to timber or steel battens/frame. I dont think blueboard or any wall sheet would work glued to a brick wall becuase the sheets have to expand and move a little bit. I've never seen it done anywhere.

    Usually a texture coating would go straight over the brick work.
