When clicking "New Posts"
Has the format been changed for the "New Posts" button on the header bar?
Originally all threads were shown with a closed or open envolope for read and unread threads.
Since yesterday arvo (thurs 30/8), "New Posts" are now opening with only actual new posts that haven't been read.
Thought I was going bananasfor a while there last night as I couldn't see my new thread that I posted last night or any that I replied to.
Cheers

That was happening to me also. I think someone must have been twiddleing the knobs trying to confuse us.

Cookies seem to have been reset to about the 22nd.
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.

As one post was a little critical of a members attitude I thought my posts were going to a moderator holding bay until I searched the forums instead of the "new posts" option

Another "improvement" to the forum
The best way around this "new improvement" is to log out after each post, then its just like normal
I wish the only modification to New Posts, was the ability to be able to ingnore threads in it, as its way to cluttered for what im interested in. But that might be asking to much

It looks like if you are the last one to post it doesn't show up under "new threads", until someone else posts after you

I use iSpy more than New Posts these days. Yes it would be good if you could select what forums you're interested in. You can subscribe to different forums in the User Control Panel but that doesn't seem to affect what you see under New Posts or iSpy.
Incidentally, my Control Panel is showing subscribed threads back to 21st August. Usually it only shows unread replies."I don't practice what I preach because I'm not the kind of person I'm preaching to."

I noticed it to, but I thought as I downgraded to IE 7, it may have affected it.
The Drivel/Slather posts are not included (as mentioned in the notices), but were available last week. Maybe this is the reason for the change.Pat

I've had a bit of trouble logging in over the last day or so (I think Optus has a trunk down, as switching to using the Telstra proxy fixed it!
) but once I finally got in and clicked 'new posts'...
32 pages!!
It didn't take long for me to realise that only 5 of them were actually "new." When I logged in today, guess what? Hit "new posts" and got 32 pages. Again. Somethings still screwy somewhere.

I am now officially confused again. The Drivel posts are in the "New Posts". There goes my theory
As mention in another thread, someone is updating some software, but I seem to recall a similar thing happening earlier this year and the powers that be had to reset vbulletin. I maybe wrong, just MBGitW normally tells me when I am wrong
I have logged on to my son's computer to test the theory of "Log on/off" still getting 32 pages of "new" posts.Pat

But I haven't reset these and I'm still getting drivel. So that's another theory gone west...
