    Lightbulb Out of Square Makita LS1212 SCMS

    I was getting a little unhappy that I had forked out a fortune for a Makita Saw and I couldn't even get the blade square to the fence. I attempted to adjust the fence several times but always reached the limit of adjustment.

    So last night I adjusted the the saw angle until it was spot on then locked that position. The problem was that the O degree quick lock didn't engage at this point. So I loosened the screws on the alloy bar underneath that held the lock bar in place and the lock bar amazingly just clicked into position. I tightened the screws and problem fixed!!!

    G'Day Mat,
    I'm not quite sure.
    Are you unhappy with the Mac;
    OR
    Pleased with yourself?

    If you don't want it.................

    I'm happy with it now - not so happy when the cuts were not square. If I was happy to accept out of square cuts I would have bought a saw at half the cost!

    Thanks for the great advice! I haven't been using the stops because they were out. I just used the degree marker on the side. You're fix worked like a charm.
