Attaching ledger to weatherboard house
I'm attempting to build my first deck. Fingers crossed.
How do I attach the ledger to my weatherboard house? I can bolt it straight on to the bearer of the house but the weather boards are at a slant which will tilt my ledger. Do I just use a series of two bolts placed vertically and a number of washers to square the ledger?

You could use washers or some sort of packer such as timber, malthoid or you can get proprietry plastic ones.

Thanks TM. Much appreciated.
It's great for us amateurs to have some expertise to rely on.
