Walking to school
When I was a kid we walked 5km to school every day, sometimes through rain or snow. Man, did we feel stupid when we found out there was a bus.

My old man made me walk 6 kms to a school he
enrolled me at. Unfortunately it was a two up school.
There was only one of me so I didn't learn much English
but wow can I flip coins.
