    Default What type of paint to use on Bookcase

    I am building a Pine book/CD /Records case (Built in) .

    What is the best paint to use,Acrylic or oil. I dont know if the Acrylic will be hard enough??

    I think gloss oil will be best. Harder wearing and won't stick your dustcovers as acrylic may.

    G'day Strungout,

    If you do choose to paint [your choice] then don't use ordinary Acrylic - anything will stick to it if left for any period of time. I believe some of the newer Acrylic enamels may work if this is the way you want to go.
