Default What do you have on your computer desk?

I use my computer for designing and getting ideas off the internet. I find it easier to pull out a tape to visualize measurements.
I have a tape, steel rule, digital vernier, paper and a calculator on my computer desk. The mobile phone is stored in a bucket of water beside my chair.
So what tools do you have perched on your desk top?
    Cheers,
    Rod

2 video cams, 2 digital cams, couple of clocks, bills (that's the biggest pile), about 6 x 100 spindles of CD's and DVD's blank, a few music CD's to go on my MP3 player, dead pens, blunt pencils, tax rubbish, a few floppies that will never probably be used again, a CMT sawblade (can't remember why I brought it in), MRI referral, scissors, carpenterrs pencils I never got round to putting in the shed, kids CD ROMS, multitool and a heap of other assorted rubbish.
Oh, and a towball (why? )

A printer/scanner/fax inkjet; a calculator, a reading lamp; a small box containing ballpens and pencils; a bigger box containing fountain pen, bottles of ink and other odds 'n sods: a cordless phone and charger; a couple of unpaid bills; an old pewter pint tankard with pens and pencils; a M&Ms container with more pens and pencils; a saw file; a coaster for my coffee cup; a stapler; a tape dispenser; an answering machine; a corded phone; an antique glass inkwell (belonged to my Dad); several CD/DVD spindles; a clock (memento of the Rugby World Cup 2003); a bottle of Old Fart beer (kindly donated by a cousin who is precisely 3 months younger than your present correspondent) and, sitting on an adjacent shelf: Darth Tater - Mr Potato Head in his Darth Vader helmet.

This is the bare basics. There's also a fairly heft transient population of woodturning tools, turning blanks, pen kits, sandpaper, woodwork & computer related mags & journals, bills, coffee cups and other similar ephemera.

And John {Munruben} reckons that his isn't very tidy?

Actually since I had a big clean up yesterday, very little. I had all of last semesters uni stuff still out but it has all been relegated to the bin since results were released on Friday.

    At the moment: -
3 piles of uni books for semester 2, laser printer, calculator, pens, pencil porter, ADSL modem and network hub, nail clippers, joke book, pens from Dai Sensei, scanner, folder of school resources, stack of lesson plans and projects for school this week and Rocker's wood puzzle from Ruffly's BBQ prize draw (no way in hell of doing that one without the solution sheet)
Have a nice day - Cheers
