    Default What timber is this?

    Could anyone please inform me what type of floor i have...

    and also if it is worth sanding and polishing?

    Looks like cypress to me.
    I've had it done in a house of ours, comes up well with a polish and sealer, but the splits around nails are a bugger...unavoidable really.

    As Andy correctly called it, you have Cypress Pine.

    It polishes up like this.

    I'm inspired, at the moment they look like fence palings.

    now, just have to remove 1 billion staples.
