Non Council Sewered Toilet alternatives
Hi all
Crappy question but I am after recommendations for a septic toilet system for a new house that doesnt have a connection to a council sewerage system.
I seem to only be able to find "composting" toilets which would incline me to buy an old kombi and to stop washing for a couple of years just to fit in with it
These are what I have found;
Enviroloo
Clivus-multrum (I think thats a Harry Potter Crapper)
Rotaloo (Maybe comes with free Rota virus)
Any experiences with these?
Any others?
cheers

Dazzler,
We have a Septech system, it consists of 3 concrete tanks, has a circulation/aeration pump and a pump out pump. The water it pumps out is almost clear and has no smell at all. It goes out in 2 dripperlines buried about 300mm deep in blue metal with soil on top.
I have successfully used these dripper lines to establish several rows of trees and shrubs, even during our severe drought.
Our system is now nearly 7 years old and going well, apart from 1 pump breakdown.
They do have a website http://www.septech.com.au/
Hope that helps,.

I spent quite a bit of time looking at these.
We've decided on A&A Worm Farm treatment plant. http://www.wormfarm.com.au/
Simple, no chemical processing and uses leach drains through to the garden. We chose this one over the Biolytix based a little on price but mainly there is no service contracts required.
We seriously looked at composting toilets but in the end we weren't going to save anything because you need the toilet and a grey water treatment system.
