Classic car dashboard
Hi All,
Am restoring an old Lotus with a wooden dash veneered with
Teak. It was made from scratch a couple of years ago, and had a
few coats of varnish/lacquer (not sure which). I am now finishing same but am not sure what product to use to build the thickness of the finish. If I use lacquer thinner on the finish it dissolves it, does this mean it is a lacquer? Also would like to know how to achieve the high gloss finish. Do I spray/brush the product on in multiple layers, then rub it back with fine paper between coats?
Thanks.
