I am currently deciding on a new fence for my single fronted weatherboard. In keeping with the street and era I have decided on a picket fence.

Does anyone have any experience with the metal powder coated picket fences? I have had one quote and it is only $800 more than a timber one (fully installed) and for the sake of ongoing maintenance I think this is great value.

I was wondering how they look and if you can recommend anyone to do the job? I am in Melbourne (western suburbs).

Also, are they fairly easy to DIY as this will also cut costs.
