Shane's Tip!
Hi there!
Ever slipped with the hammer when hitting in a nail and bruised the timber?
Wet the bruise with a little water and then use an iron and damp rag to steam the bruise out...
There are alternative methods, such as wet the bruise with metho and ignite, but that can lead to bad results But it does work, although I don;t recommend trying it
Oh, I wouldn't recommend letting the other half know what your taking the iron away to use on either, that too can lead to bad results
Cheers
Shane...

Thanks for the last tip. I think that letting the other half know would cause the bruise to magically transfer itself from the wood to your forehead (in the shape of an iron).
I will definitely try this one, if the coast is clear that is.
thanks Jamin

Hi Shane
You little trouble-maker you.
The trick with the metho is one which I have used extensively and with great results on veneered surfaces. It has enough moisture and heat to do the job without breaking the glue joint that is holding the veneer to the surface.
If done quickly and carefully it can also be used on a polished surface with little or no damage being done to the finish.
Cheers
Neil

G'Day Mates,
Did you know, that you could use that Alcohol "trick" to also remove white spots, caused by water, moisture, or heat?( at your own risk)
Well, you know it NOW.
Hooroo,
Mac
