Woodworking Show - Newcastle
Will there be a Woodworking Show at Newcastle NSW in 2007? Have not seen any advertisements for one so far.

According to their website (http://www.workingwithwood.com) it appears to be Tasmania, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne.

Newcastle Expo is not run by DMG who run the Working With Wood Shows. It is run by Woodturners of the Hunter Co Op, see link in Stirlo's post below.
To date I have had no conformation of the Expo running this year and there is a strange absence of info on their site as well so it looks as though it may not be on.
There was a major lack of attendance by Craft people last year which left some pretty big holes in the main hall and didn't look really good. Lots of grumblings from the exhibitors or at least the Crafty side of them.
We had a good show as always but there did seem to be a general feeling of ill content not only with exhibitors but worse still within the ranks of the organizers.
I would not be surprised if there was no Expo this year.
Personally I think it would probably be better it it was to be made a biennial event.
Cheers - Neil
PS This was a great Expo and will be sadly missed if it isn't run again. However it is a sign of the times and possibly a sign of things to come and a bit of a wake up call for the bigger shows. Let's all hope they heed the warning signs and continue to grow rather than disappear one by one.

I've unfortunately had to let my WTOH membership slide but I have a feeling that there may also be factors associated with the N'cle Showground trust or whatever it is that is influencing things as well.
Again, this is just a feeling and not to be taken as a 'definite".
