Aquarium stands/cabinets
I am currently toying with the idea of making an aquarium stand/cabinet for a 48" tank.
Anybody had any experience making one?
The things I have seen look like a piece of furniture, with doors underneath to store filters etc.
Any feed back would be welcome

Coastie ,I'll assume that is isn't meant as a joke so I'll answer in the belief that you posted in the wrong forum. I've seen some that were made outta MDF ....looked good but you would'nt want the seal on the tank to give way.
Had a fold-up section with piano hinge giving access to the fluoro light as well as the open section of the tank for feeding/cleaning.
The way I see it a 48" tank is gonna need a fair bit of support with the weight of the water etc so I'd be constructing the carcase with solid timber or metal frame, with timber/MDF surround.
