Recommended TopCoat/Sealer for pine floor
Well, She's done it again. Gone and changed her mind halfway through a job. Not that I mind. The additional expense, the inconvenience of having to redo something, the WASTED hours.........."Honey? I don't think I like it. Can it be sanded off?" (insert lost hours going to town to get more sand paper, another lost morning wearing a stinky dust respirator, more hours on my knees sanding off the floor stain she didn't like. I do however like the way my fingers buzz for half an hour after I've turned the sander off.)
NOW she says to me, "actually, I really like where you've sanded it back and HAVENT got it all off and there's only a hint of colour left in the grain. Can we leave it like that?"
Hope springs eternal (from my aching knees)
Ok. So what CLEAR topcoat can I put on this floor that will NOT change the colour the least? If that makes sense. I need a clear topcoat that doesnt instantly turn the boards yellow. SWMBO likes the "white" look of freshly sanded timber.
