Why oh why do some companies bother with email adresses they have no intention of using let alone replying to possible buyers?
Last week I struck another one a supply of fine timbers I'm reliably informed from their site. Its in marybourgh Vic but I won't name them they decide to sue They mention they sell large and small amounts so I thought why not they have some nice wide toona there and I need it for the next big clock (about 24ft of it, I know ..need to finish this one first) so whipped of an email and yep another Oz business that seems to pay lipservice to the internet..oh well I tried.
Strange though I needed bits for a pommie car found a website ,emailed them and within 12 hrs had a quote. Its the same with the yank sites answer within 12 hrs.
Oh well their loss is someone elses gain I guess

IMHO Because many older type Australian businesses dont think emails and up to date web sites are worth it.

I use to order packs of wood and single piece's/sheet material from a supplier online... till they canned(just didnt maintain it)it because it cost to much, I think they didnt use it to its full potential so it costed them more than its worth.
For me thats a real PITA because before I could quote my prices for materials on commision piece's I make, now I got to ring them and deal with staff that dont know jack!
