Places to see from Brisbane to Wilcannia
At the end of September, Tom and I will be driving to Wilcannia (from Brisbane) to Tom's sister's wedding. She is marrying the other teacher out there and since it is such a long way to drive, we were wondering if anyone from the forums would like to suggest interesting places we could stop at to take a breather (such as art/craft galleries and the like) along the way. We'll be driving through Moree and Nyngan to get there.
Cheers
Dan and Tom

Take a petrol axe with you. No telling what you might find on those long western stretches.

At Goondiwindi pass up McDonalds. Get yourself some refreshments at Gunsynd Bakery in the main street and take them out to the Western Woodlands Botanical Gardens. Only about 2km.
