Mildew in leather
Does anyone know if it is possible to remove mildew from lather

Yep it is. Just wash it off with warm soapy water, then dry, When fully dry apply one of the leather treatment creams - some have an anti fungal agent. In fact I have used Exit Mould in the past, with good effect.
I do this often to my old bike leathers, still going strong.Bodgy
