Purpleization
Does anybody know how to speed up the purpleization of Purple Heart after it has been freshly cut?
Also, I remember reading somewhere recently about the purpleness fading after a bit. Does any one have any information on this (undesirable) feature?

Actually it goes way the other way, continues to darken and winds up nearly black if you do not stop exposure to light. Try putting it under a lamp for a while, a word of caution though, the heat may cause it to split. An alternative would be to put it in the sun for a while.
