Finishing Western Red Cedar
Hi,
I'm making a chest of drawers with the insides being made from WRC. How should I finish them (if at all)?
Regards,
Mike.

I would leave the internals bare.
WRC is aromatic and will keep moths and silverfish away.

Thanks Bob. That was my instinct as well. I just wanted to see if others had done something different.
Regards,
Mike.

a wattyl stain under to give the timber a good lustre then on the exterrnals Wipe on poly several coats with good 600 grit sanding between coats
How I would do it , but the internals , natural timber as echnidna says keeps the moths away,. and smells good as wellAshore
The trouble with life is there's no background music.
