1. Boat out to the reef for a day trip.
2. Go and catch some of the reef fish. Dirty fighters, the lot of them.
3. Eat, Eat and Eat. Some of the best eateries on the continent around that area. Couple of good ones in Palm Cove (particularly the Reef House at Sebel). Couple of good ones in Port Douglas.
DanIs there anything easier done than said?- Stacky. The bottom pub, Cobram.

Goat,
Peter Todd of "Aquacat" takes people fishing out on the reef every day and has a very good catch record. There's also several trips you can take in the inlet, fishing and crabbing

Sorry Cliff
Actually the reef snorkelling/diving is mind bending. Greek resauraunt up in Port, Ilios or something, v. good. Open mike at Port's Central pub on Wed (I think) night. Sunday market up there. Whitewater rafting at Tully. Rail trip to Kalandra. Sit with G&T at duak and watch huge motherf---er storms roll in off the sea, while the fruit bats head out overhead. Catch and eat a coral trout. Cool off at the Mosman Gorge. Watch the pretty girls go by at the Pier, Guinness in hand. Take some pics of the neat old queenslanders on the north end of Digger St.
